Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby or Hagia Sophia and start your Istanbul Old City Tour;
Hagia Sophia: Pick up from the hotel and begin your tour with a visit to Hagia Sophia, one of the Eight Wonders of the World. This iconic structure holds a unique place in the history of architecture as one of the few works of its size and age that still survives.
Blue Mosque: Next, visit the Blue Mosque, renowned for its exquisite blue Iznik tiles decorating the interior. It is the only imperial mosque originally built with six minarets. Note: On Fridays, the Blue Mosque is reserved for prayer, and we visit it from the exterior.
Hippodrome: Continue to Hippodrome Square, the sporting and social center of old Byzantium. The Hippodrome held 100,000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empire, such as the Egyptian Obelisk and the Serpent Column.
Grand Bazaar: Finally, attend an optional handicrafts presentation and lecture next to the Grand Bazaar. Guests may choose to skip the presentation and explore the Grand Bazaar independently. Note: The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. Afterward, meet back for the drive to the hotels.
